Since the early 1930’s, we’ve worked to realize a better environment and quality of life through providing heating and cooling solutions.
Daikin also has been a world leader in the development, manufacture and sales of fluoropolymers and chemistry since 1940’s.
With the Daikin Group rapidly accelerating business expansion around the world, it is important that we raise customer satisfaction by accurately and promptly grasping customer needs in each world region and reflecting these in our products. To this end, we are switching from an air conditioner development system centered in Japan to a decentralized one in which regional bases conduct product development and research, and we are increasing our worldwide market research capabilities.
In today’s era of lightning-fast change, conventional core technologies no longer meet the world’s diverse needs. For this reason, we have established Daikin Open Innovation Lab Silicon Valley (DSV) in May 2017 as a place where we generate distinctly new ideas/products through the fusion of state-of-the-art technologies in artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). DSV is located in Silicon Valley, a society of rapid technological change. DSV strives to both absorb current state-of-the-art technologies and strengthen IoT and AI technologies.
